– It is during the reign of king Raj singh of Chamba (1765-94) a contemporary of Sansar chand an artist called Nikka depicted high mark in chamba style.

-In 17th century Pandit Setu of Pahari school, did a great service to the art of Guler.
NAINSUKH & MANAKU –
Pandit seu had two sons Manaku and Nainsukh, both inherited the art of painting
-Nainsukh was an employee of Raja Balwant Singh since 1743.
-Manaku was one of the great masters of Pahari miniature painting,during the reign of Raja Sansar Chand of Kangra.
FATTU –eldest son of Manaku.
-Sat Sai Series, The lambagraon Baramasa and the Rangmala are handmade of Fattu,
-The Srimad Bhagwata purana was work of Kishan Lal (kaushala)another son of manaku
–Godhu, Nephew of Manaku may also have been associated with these works.
–Kishan lal and Godhu were Sansar chand’s atelier in charge.
PAINTERS IN MANDI
-The earliest painting in Mandi style depicts King Keshav Sen of Mandi (1595).
-During the reign of king Samar Sen, an artist GULER BAKSH was sent from Mandi to Guler for training.
-Raja Preetam Singh provided necessary impetus to kullu style of the period.
In chamba most of the wall paingtings of Akhand Chandi palace and laxmi Narayan temple are handmade of DURGA and MIAN TARA SINGH
-The other famous wall painters were Mohammadi, Gahiyaram and Govardhan Kayastha.
-In modern period, a great work has been done by NICHOLAS ROERICH(known as maharishi) a RUSSIAN whose son Sveteslav Roerich married beauty queen of Indian cinema Devika Rani. -He portrayed around 7000 canvass on the Himalayas.
–Norah Richards, B.C. Sanyal and Sardar Shobah Singh all have a commendable service to enrich Pahari Paintings artist of Kangra school.
–Sohni Mahiwal is an excellent work of Sardar Shobha Singh.
-An old Guru Chandulal Raina was doing supervising work of Kangra school.
