Himachal Pradesh assembly election results 2017 indicate a clear cut victory for the BJP. A highest ever polling of 74.61 per cent was recorded in the state in 2017 assembly polls and women outnumbered men in polling by about 1 lakh votes

-Bjp was able to gain clear cut majority and the only minor setback was that the BJP’s chief ministerial candidate Prem Kumar Dhumal lost from the Sujanpur constituency. He was defeated by Congress leader ‘ Rajinder Rana.
